How it works
Good rules are short, specific to your community, and easy to enforce. Tell the generator what your server is about, who it’s for, and how strict you want to be, and it writes a numbered rule list formatted for Discord, with a short intro and what happens when someone breaks them.
Read it through and edit before posting. You know your community; the generator gives you a solid first draft in seconds.
Pair your rules with Discord’s own tools: Rules Screening makes new members accept them, and AutoMod can enforce the spam and language rules automatically.
Questions
How many rules should a server have?
Usually 6 to 10. More than that and people stop reading. Put the rules that matter most first.
Do I need to include Discord’s Terms of Service?
It’s good practice to link Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. The generator adds that as the last rule.
Is it free?
Yes, with a daily limit per person so everyone gets a turn.
