Discord glossary
Server (guild)
A Discord community with its own channels, roles, and members. Developers and the API call it a guild.
A server is a space you create or join on Discord. It holds text, voice, forum, and stage channels, plus the roles that decide who can see and do what.
In Discord’s API and bot libraries, servers are called guilds, so you’ll see “guild ID” and “GUILDS intent” in developer tools.
