Discord timestamp generator

Pick a date and time and get the <t:…> codes that show up in every reader’s own time zone, including live countdowns like “in 3 hours”.

In your time zone (UTC).

How it works

Discord can show a time in each reader’s own time zone and language. You write a code like <t:1790812800:F> and everyone sees it converted for them. It’s the easiest way to announce events to an international server.

Choose a date and time here (in your time zone), and the tool gives you all seven styles with a preview: short and long time, short and long date, date with time, full date with weekday, and relative time like “in 3 hours”, which counts down live in Discord.

You can also paste a Unix timestamp or an existing <t:…> code to see what it means.

Questions

Which format should I use for events?
Use full date and time (F) so people see the weekday, and add relative time (R) next to it so they see how long is left.
Do timestamps work on mobile?
Yes. They work in messages, embeds, and channel topics on desktop, web, and mobile.
Why is my timestamp off by hours?
The number must be Unix seconds in UTC. If you calculated it by hand in local time, it will be shifted by your offset. Generate it here instead.
