How it works
Discord channel and role names accept most Unicode characters, so you can style them with symbols, separators, and fonts built from special letters. Click any symbol to copy it, or type text to convert it into a fancy style.
Use the channel builder to combine an emoji, a divider, and a name, and see a preview. Keep it readable: screen readers read out every symbol, and heavily styled names are harder to search for, so style category names more than the channels people type in daily.
Fancy fonts are Unicode math and phonetic characters, not real fonts, so they work anywhere Discord shows text.
Questions
Why do some symbols show as boxes?
The readerโs device doesnโt have a font with that character. Stick to common symbols for important channels.
Can I use spaces in text channel names?
Discord turns spaces into dashes in text channels. Some servers use a lookalike space character, but it can make channels harder to type and mention.
Do fancy fonts affect search?
Yes. Discord search and @mentions match the actual characters, so โ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ท๐ฎ๐ป๐ช๐ตโ wonโt match โgeneralโ.
